Tri-Ad Litho continues to increase its leading edge digital print production capacity with the installation of a second XEROX iGEN3 DIGITAL PRODUCTION PRESS in January 2007. The new iGen makes Tri-Ad Litho the only commercial printing company in the greater Pittsburgh area with TWO of these digital color presses. The iGen3 will allow us to produce full color personalized and customized printed materials for clients requiring a fast turnaround time for short run jobs. With a print speed of 110 impressions per minute, the iGen3 can print on a wide variety of stock including coated or uncoated, textured or smooth and weights from 16lb. to 18 point. The iGen3 is designed for on-demand printing of brochures, books, flyers, postcards, newsletters, catalogs, manuals, point of purchase materials, or most any other application that a client may have.

In additon to the iGens Tri-Ad Litho also has one of the only offline UV Digicoaters in Western Pennsylvania. The digicoater places a UV coating on both digital and offset printed materials in an offline environment. UV is a polymerization process that produces a chemical reaction that ultimately creates a thin layer of plastic film measuring less than .001 of an inch in thickness on the printed piece. The film, available in matte, satin, or high gloss finishes gives color documents a "pop" making the color jump off the page to the viewer as well as providing the document with excellent abrasion resistance.
